Insulated Metal Panels
Insulated Metal Panels are manufactured by injecting a liquid insulating foam, usually polyurethane, between two sheets of metal, either aluminum or steel. The foam fuses to the metal and then expands to completely fill the cavity with no gaps which increases the R-value significantly. Another unique characteristic of Insulated Metal Panels is the textured finish options – available in a wide array of colors and designs, these panels can be manufactured with a textured finish as well. The panels are lightweight and quick to install which can help cut down on construction costs.
